Angel is currently at the beach in Panama City, Florida with several of her girlfriends … enjoying some much-needed, and well-deserved vacation time.
There was supposed to be an article published this morning on 1SmartMom about peroxide being a miracle cleaner, but it looks like that post was completely empty! (Maybe when she gets back from the beach, she can share that tip with you.)
Instead, I would like to take this opportunity to brag on my wife a little bit …
Angel is the love of my life, my partner, my best friend, and my confidante. She is incredibly gifted in many areas, not least of which is being the most supportive and loving wife anybody could ever have! She believes in me and supports me in my dreams, but more importantly, she has stood by my side through some really tough stuff.
I believe that we strengthen each other … where I have a weakness in one area, she seems to be especially strong. When we are facing a problem, or going through “the refiner’s fire”, we seem to be able to depend on each other to make it through. I am not always strong, always positive, always certain of how things will turn out … I have days as well when it takes everything within me to push through and believe that God is going to take care of us. But no matter what, I know that I am not in this all by myself! I have someone by my side who is there to pull me up, encourage me, strengthen me, and make things better.
Angel is the type of person who brings out the best in me! She makes me want to be a better me, to be a better daddy, a better husband. No, Angel is not perfect … but neither am I. If we both had everything worked out and could handle things individually without the other’s help, one of us would be unnecessary! Everybody has “rough edges” and I certainly have my fair share, but I am most thankful to have a wife who can help bring balance to my life, and help me get rid of those rough edges.
What does it take to be a godly wife and mother? What do I appreciate most about my wife? I think the most important thing is that Angel has a heart after God … she understands that everything will not always be perfect, but that as long as she is seeking God, everything will work out so that God gets the glory. She doesn’t try to “fix” me or always point out my problems … instead, because of the time she spends in prayer during her daily devotional, she trusts God to show her what she can change. And that is what I appreciate most about Angel … when I see a change (for the better) in her, it makes me want to change as well.
Angel, I love you with all of my heart and I thank God for you!
Grow old along with me … the best is yet to be!

Wonderful words Ben…Hope Angel has a lovely holiday.

I am glad you wrote. It is good when a husband takes the time to brag on his wife. You two are made for each other, and God will always bless the both of you. Enjoy.
