I hope you all I had a nice Valentine’s. I was asked what I did for the Day. Not much, we had celebrated last weekend while our kids were gone for the weekend. So I cooked his favorite dinner and dessert, and we exchanged our cards and such. It was nice. We had a sit down dinner with the girls with their Valentine’s and ours placed in front of our plates to open together. I kind of liked that. Not so much just about mine and Ben’s love but the whole family enjoying the love together. They were so excited. Our dessert they helped me make, a trifle. I made them in individual wine glasses, so that it was really pretty, and used Ben’s favorite candy bar (snickers). Then we colored the cool whip pink (For V-Day) and had red Maracchino cherries on top. Here is the recipe a friend gave me. (I replaced the layer of cherries with Snickers for Ben, but it was really probably too much chocolate, and I am a chocolate lover!)
Equally layer in a glass dish:
- Cooked, Crumbled Brownie
- Chocolate Pudding
- Cool Whip
- Cherries
- Cool Whip
- Repeat layers until bowl is full. Top With Cherries
