Today I would like to ask the question everyone has to be asking. How in the world did Sanjaya make it to the top ten?! Someone said they heard that Howard Stern was trying to prove the power of his audience, so he told his listening audience to vote for the worst one, which is Sanjaya. He wants him to win to show everyone how much influence and power he really has. Are you kidding me? Is this for real?
I loved Sundance, and could not believe he did not make it to the final 12. I thought it was a fluke and Sanjaya would be gone soon, but he hasn’t left yet. And did you see the little girl crying the whole show? O.K. she is going to be mortified in about 2 or 3 years, and for the rest of her life. I just hope she does not have a brother who will love to use it over her.
Seriously with Sanjaya, is it Howard Stern, is it the teeny bopper vote, what? If it is Howard Stern I think that is such an awful thing for him to do, because he is hurting someone else’s chance every time Sanjaya stays. It is a spot that someone better deserved. Even Sanjaya admitted this week in an interview that he knew he was not the best singer up there. Well yeah, you think?
When Sanjaya stayed and Sundance went home, even Sanjaya was Shocked! And so was my five year old, she was like “Sanjaya is going home, he is so going home” Even a five year old sits waiting for the boy to GO HOME!
Stunned in HOtlanta,
I am also shocked. When I watched american idol, if I have time, I close my eyes to truly hear the person sings. I am amazed on how america is getting it wrong everytime. So, hopefully america will get it right. I try not to watch the show all the time because I will get upset and involved. So, howard stern is mean. ANd, I do hope his listeners will stop and truly listen to the singers and not him. However, it shows how people can be stupid enough to listen to a man with no sense at all.
I actually cringed when I saw the little girl being so emotional. Bless her heart, she’s going to have to live that down for awhile.
We were laughing our heads off during Sanjaya’s performance. How cute that the girl was crying! However, whether good or bad, those that stand out always make it another week. Sanjaya is standing out now because he is terrible, so I think he has another week or so at least. I like the beat boxer–that’s my pick.
I just read the other day that Christian author Liz Curtis Higgs used to work with Howard Stern. 😉
Interesting. I am not sure who I want to win, I like so many of them, save Sanjaya of course. I just recently found out that Melinda is a Spirit Filled Christian and, just before American Idol, released a C.D. with Danny Chambers. He said so at our church on Wednesday night. Phil Stacey, while not the best, is also a Christian, and Lee University alumni. But I voted for Lakisha last week because I think she is awesome, and I would hate to see her leave for one bad review.
American Idol is great because I find so many people who are soooo different that can find that in common. I love that. A total stranger at the gym this morning carried on a lengthy conversation on with us because we were discussing A.I.
It is like discovering that you have friends in common or something.
